Danni Williams Appointed General Manager at
Renaissance Atlanta Hotel Downtown

ATLANTA, Jan. 6, 2009 - The Renaissance Atlanta Hotel Downtown is pleased to announce that Danni Williams has accepted the position as the General Manager, effective this week. Williams began her career with Marriott in 1981 at the Nashville Airport Marriott starting as a Restaurant Manager, and progressed to Beverage Manager, Convention Services Manager, Catering Sales Manager, and Director of Catering. In 1993, she became Food and Beverage Director at the hotel and then became Cluster Director of Marketing for the Nashville market. In 1999, she transitioned to the Director of Operations role at the Atlanta Marriott Century Center. Williams became a General Manager in 2001 at the MeadowView Marriott Conference Resort & Convention Center in Kingsport, Tennessee. During her three years at the property, she achieved the highest Guest Satisfaction Scores for all Marriott hotels. In May of 2004, Williams was promoted to her current position as General Manager of the Renaissance Charleston Hotel Historical District in Charleston, South Carolina. During her tenure at the property, she received the "Spirit to Serve our Community" award for the Renaissance brand in 2005, 2006, and 2007. Williams is a Board Member of the Charleston Hotel Motel Association,
and also serves on the Hotel and Tourism Advisory Council for the College
of Charleston. She recently received her Bachelor of Science in Business
Management from Southern Wesleyan University.
