With more than twenty years of hospitality experience, Platt joins El San Juan Hotel & Casino most recently from the Hilton New York, where he held the position of Executive Assistant Manager and Director of Food & Beverage since early 2007. 

Platt will oversee the daily sales and operations of the 382-room luxury resort and enhance the dynamic property�s premier position within the San Juan community, hotel industry and global marketplace. El San Juan Hotel & Casino recently completed a $52 million redesign, renovation and refurbishment, which included enhancements to the lobby, guest rooms and meeting spaces by Robert Barry of Barry Design, and an alluring new pool and beachside experience, Encanto Beach Club, by acclaimed architect Stephane Dupoux.

Platt is a Cornell Alumni with degrees in Hotel Business Management, Business Administration and Behavioral Psychology.  In his personal time, Platt is a professional Thai Boxer and licensed Conditioning Trainer & Cutman with the World Boxing Federation.  He served in the South African Army, first came to the United States while working in the cruise industry and proudly became a U.S. citizen in 2004.  He enjoys Formula 1 Motor Racing and GP Super Bikes.
