Northern California Chapter of HSMAI Welcomes New Board
of Directors for 2009; Ellen Eason Continues as President

Programs for 2009 Will Help Hospitality Marketers Weather the Tough Economy 
 
SAN RAMON, CA � Feb. 19, 2009 � Northern California�s hospitality marketing group will focus its 2009 programs on helping hospitality professionals learn creative ways to market in a tough economy.
 
�Hospitality professionals need to get the most ROI from their marketing programs and are looking for cost-effective techniques that will help them promote their hotels, destinations or companies,� says Ellen Eason, a partner in Eason Communications LLC, who will be president of the Northern California Chapter of the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association (HSMAI) for the second year in a row. 
 
�Our organization tends to gain members in a recession, because marketers are eager to stay on top of the latest marketing and public relations trends and techniques. They also want to strengthen their networks and learn from their peers,� adds Eason. �HSMAI provides excellent publications, programs, Webinars and surveys that give our members a competitive edge.�
 
The association welcomed its board of directors for 2009 at its January 26 program at the Claremont Resort & Spa. Northern California Chapter HSMAI board members for 2009 are:
