ATLANTA - February 3, 2009 - The Sheraton Atlanta is spending $20 million on a capital improvement and enhancement program encompassing all facets of the 760 guest room and conference center hotel. The hotel is owned by Philadelphia-based Amerimar Enterprises Inc. More than $70 million has been spent on Atlantas flagship Sheraton property during the past seven years including more than $40 million over the past four years. The citys sixth largest meeting and convention hotel, whose venerable
presence has anchored this vibrant heart of downtown Atlanta since 1965,
is dramatically evolving from a traditional configuration property to a
current more contemporary, tasteful, and stylish look.
Enhancement of all 760 guest rooms were blueprinted and executed in response to guests' preferences for a more expansive, flexible, contemporary room design. Guest rooms feature luxuriously comfortable Sheraton SweetSM Sleeper bedding, 32 LCD flat screen TVs, handsome credenzas and signature desks, quality artwork, energy efficient lighting and a new keycard entry security system. The Club level rooms will feature 37 LCD flat screen TVs, while 70 rooms overlooking downtowns Ellis and Piedmont roads will be extended by 60 square feet. The courtyard room expansion will add more space for guests to relax and enjoy their accommodation while bringing the architectural look of the hotel to a more sleek design. Guest bathrooms are being remodeled with new granite vanities, Kohler brushed chrome bath and shower faucet fixtures, efficient soft lighting, and new water conserving dual-flush commode features that reduce resource usage by 30%. Completed in January was the first phase of a new Link@Sheraton experienced with Microsoft, creating an innovative lobby lounge work area on the third floor. The Link@Sheraton enables guests to stay connected with complimentary 24 hour access to computer workstations equipped with Internet and web cam abilities, Ethernet data ports for laptops, as well as free printing services and Wi-Fi access, allowing guests to e-mail, search the web, review local attractions, and even print up boarding passes. Other projects include installing a new hotel wide energy efficient water heating system, increasing overall efficiency by more than 50 percent. The Sheraton Atlanta Hotel takes our responsibility to the environment seriously, continued General Manager Harris. We are striving to become one of Atlantas most energy efficient hotels. We monitor our conservation efforts closely, while incorporating many green initiatives into every renovation and enhancement project. Amenities at the hotel include a stunning indoor/outdoor poolside Garden

space, a 24-hour fitness center, full service business center, concierge,
