Wickens Group Signs Sage Hospitality
to Manage Three Hotels in Michigan
Denver, CO (October 16, 2008) -- Sage Hospitality, one of the nation’s most widely recognized hotel development and management companies, announced they have been selected by The Wickens Group to manage three hotels in the Southern Michigan area. The agreement includes the Courtyard by Marriott Brighton, the Courtyard by Marriott Lansing and a boutique hotel called the Hotel Baronette in Novi, Michigan that will be converting to a Renaissance by Marriott. This brings Sage Hospitality’s nationally recognized hotel management and development experience back to Michigan.
“The three properties take advantage of Sage Hospitality’s expertise in reinvigorating hotels and maximizing asset values,” said Stephen Wickens, president and CEO the Wickens Group. “They are experienced in repositioning hotels and transforming good hotels to great hotels. We are focused on leveraging the outstanding location of these properties in the Southern Michigan Area.”
“Clearly the strength of the Marriott brand will be an advantage for

“The Hotel Baronette will receive a complete restoration under the guidance
of the Sage program and design team and will be reintroduced in 2009 as
a luxury Renaissance hotel. The Courtyard by Marriott in Lansing is scheduled
