October 30, 2008 � Hostar International, Inc. is pleased to announce that the recently opened Westin Book Cadillac Detroit has chosen the ProHost® System for their housekeeping operations.

The new Westin Book Cadillac is an Italian-renaissance-style hotel that originally opened its doors in 1924 on what was called the "Fifth Avenue of the Midwest," earning distinction as the tallest hotel in the world. Now the revitalized hotel reclaims its position as Detroit's premier hotel and number one choice for sophisticated social events. The spectacular property features 453 elegant rooms and more than 60 branded residences, as well as 30,000 square feet of meeting and banquet space.

The hotel is ideally located at the center of downtown Detroit, close to numerous corporate headquarters, Fox Theatre, Ford Field and Joe Louis Arena.  Offering dramatic views of Detroit's international waterfront and downtown area, the Westin offers the highest level of luxury in both guestroom amenities and facility design.  Efficient use of personnel, combined with the Hostar technology, gives housekeeping management the ability to provide consistent service to their guests while maintaining a high level of productivity and employee satisfaction. 

The ProHost® Mobiles, which represent the room attendant equipment component of the System, present a professional appearance on the guest floors.  Each mobile carries a precise mix of linen, terries and amenities matched to his or her specific room mix.  An evening team restocks the mobiles enabling the room attendants to start their shift with all the necessary linen and supplies needed to complete their assignment.  Room attendants are able to focus more time on room cleanliness and guest satisfaction.  The ProHost® System allows the hotel to be efficient in their material delivery, maintain a smart look and control inventory.
