.

Honolulu, Hawaii October 11, 2008 - Mel Kaneshige, executive vice president of real estate and development of Outrigger Enterprises Group, announced today that Outrigger has named Darren J. Edmonstone as Senior Vice President - Asia.  In this newly created position, Mr. Edmonstone will lead Outrigger's expansion into Asia and oversee Outrigger's newly established Asia regional office in Phuket, Thailand.

"Darren will head up Outrigger's aggressive expansion into Asia," said David Carey, president and chief executive officer of Outrigger.  "In the two short years since starting our efforts in Asia, we have announced the acquisition of properties in Bali and Phuket, with discussions now underway for additional properties in Phuket and Koh Samui in Thailand and in Sanya, Hainan Island, China. Darren has been at the forefront of these acquisitions and negotiations, and we look forward to his continuing leadership as we grow the Outrigger brand further in Asia."

"Besides the additional properties now in negotiations, Outrigger is investigating other opportunities at the present time in Hua Hin, Krabi and Pattaya in Thailand, another location in Bali and several locations in Vietnam," commented Edmonstone.  "Owners and developers of hospitality product in Asia are especially interested in our total focus on leisure resort properties in warm weather, beach front locations and our ability to provide a total management solution for hotel, timeshare, condominium and retail components of a resort," Edmonstone added.

Mr. Edmonstone has extensive Asian experience, having worked most recently in the region with HongKong and Shanghai Hotels Limited, the owners of The Peninsula Group, in a number of senior management positions in Vietnam and Thailand as well as in a corporate regional role based in Hong Kong, before joining Outrigger in 2005 as vice president of acquisitions and development.

Prior to The Peninsula Group, Edmonstone worked in Europe with the hospitality arm of The Kuwaiti Investment Office, as well as with Sheraton Hotels, NCR Australia Pty, Ltd. and Hilton Hotels in his native Australia.

Outrigger's previously announced properties in Asia include the 78 room Outrigger Serenity Terraces Resort on Rawai Beach, Phuket, opening in April 2009, the 176 room Outrigger Panorama Bali Resort & Spa in the Bukit area of Bali, opening in 2010, and the 396 room West Sands Outrigger Resort & Spa on Mai Khao Beach, Phuket, also opening in 2010.
