 Waterford Hotel Group Associates Honored by Connecticut Lodging Association; 
General Manager Chuck Moran Named as President of Association
.

Waterford, CT- October 27, 2008 - At its 104th Annual Meeting and Awards Ceremony, the Connecticut Lodging Association (�CLA�) recently recognized numerous Waterford Hotel Group associates as �Stars of the Industry�.  The association also named Chuck Moran, General Manager of the Waterford-managed Holiday Inn of New London, as President of the Connecticut Lodging Association for a 2-year term.  Waterford Hotel Group, a national hotel management firm, has a strong presence in Connecticut with 17 hotels under management representing more than 2,600 rooms. 

Chuck Moran brings nearly 30 years of hospitality experience to his position as President of the Board of Directors for CLA.  Since joining Waterford Hotel Group in 1999, he has contributed significantly toward improving Connecticut�s hospitality industry.  Most recently, he served as Treasurer for the CLA.  �It is an honor to be chosen to fill this important role and in helping to build upon tourism as an important economic engine for Connecticut,� commented Chuck Moran.  �Volunteerism is what keeps our association strong.  It is my privilege serve as President and to be able to pull on the vast resources at Waterford to help our tourism industry as a whole,� added Moran.

�Stars of the Industry� Awards are presented to lodging employees that demonstrate exemplary professionalism and exceptional service.  Additionally, General Manager Awards honor those who demonstrate professionalism in operating a CLA member property and have taken a leadership role in the industry through active participation in the association or community, and industry programs.  Associates from three of Waterford Hotel Group�s managed hotels walked away with five awards in total, as follows:
