Benchmark Hospitality International Appoints Lillian Murphy
At Edith Macy Conference Center, Briarcliff Manor, New York
Woodlands (Houston), Texas, November 19, 2008 … Benchmark Hospitality International
has announced the appointment of Lillian Murphy as controller for the Edith
Macy Conference Center, located in Briarcliff Manor, New York. David
Vogt, Benchmark’s general manager at the property, made the announcement.
“It is with pleasure that we welcome Lillian to Edith Macy Conference Center,” said Mr. Vogt. “She brings a strong operational background within hospitality to her new role at our property.”
Most recently, Lillian Murphy was general manager of the Holiday Inn in Orangeburg, New York. In this role she oversaw a $4 million property renovation program, and assumed additional responsibilities as the hotel’s controller. Prior to her appointment as general manager, Ms. Murphy held the position of property controller for the hotel.
Earlier in her career, Lillian Murphy exercised her entrepreneurial talents, owning and operating the Orangeburg Bar & Restaurant. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. Ms. Murphy and her family reside in Pearl River, New York.
