Area Director of Revenue Management
The Woodlands (Houston), Texas, November 5, 2008 … Benchmark Hospitality International has named Ernesto Velázquez area director of revenue management for the leading hospitality management company. Kim Nugent, Benchmark’s corporate director of revenue management, made the announcement.
"It is with great enthusiasm that I welcome Ernesto to his new and expanded role at Benchmark Hospitality,” said Ms. Nugent. “He is a first-rate hospitality professional who has keen understanding of the revenue management function. This is a well deserved promotion.”
In his new position, Ernesto Velázquez will be responsible for overseeing the revenue management function for Benchmark’s Hotel Contessa of San Antonio, Texas, and Chaminade Resort & Spa, located in Santa Cruz, California. Mr. Velázquez was previously director of revenue for Hotel Contessa, where he helped the property establish a leadership position within San Antonio for revenue-per-available-room.
Prior to joining Benchmark Hospitality International, Velázquez was director of rooms for the Omni San Antonio. Earlier in his career he invested several years with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts at properties in the Caribbean and San Antonio, serving as director of revenue and director of rooms.
Ernesto Velázquez attended Business School at Sacred Heart University, located in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He resides in San Antonio.
