Andrew Hernandez Named Director of Rooms for Benchmark's
Chaminade Resort & Spa in Santa Cruz, California

The Woodlands (Houston), Texas, November 4, 2008 … Benchmark Hospitality International has appointed Andrew Hernandez director of rooms for Chaminade Resort & Spa, located in Santa Cruz, California.  Norbert Relecker, Benchmark’s general manager at the resort, made the announcement. 

“It is my great pleasure to announce Andrew’s promotion,” said Mr. Relecker.  “He is an exemplary hospitality professional whose talent, dedication and leadership skills have enabled him to rapidly progress within our organization.  We congratulate him on his most recent appointment.”

Previously Andrew Hernandez served as front office manager for Benchmark Hospitality at Chaminade Resort & Spa.  During his tenure with the property, Chaminade has continually received the coveted Four Diamond Award. 

Mr. Hernadez has held the title of assistant front office manager for Chaminade.  Earlier in his career with the resort, he successfully served as front desk supervisor.  Mr. Hernandez began employment at the property as front desk clerk.

Andrew Hernandez is the recipient of Benchmark Hospitality International’s prestigious "Best of the Best Award” in recognition of his professionalism with guests and employees alike.  He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Hospitality Hotel Management from San Jose State University where he was recognized as a Dean's Scholar.  He resides in Watsonville, California, with his family.
