Chuck Moran Named General Manager for
Courtyard by Marriott In Cromwell, Connecticut

CT- Wednesday, December 17, 2008 - Waterford Hotel Group has announced
the appointment of Chuck Moran as general manager of the Courtyard by Marriott
in Cromwell, CT. The 145-room property is professionally managed
by Waterford Hotel Group, Inc., a national hotel management firm managing
26 properties in 9 states.
As general manager, Moran will oversee all operational, sales and administrative aspects of the Cromwell hotel. He joined Waterford Hotel Group in 1999, and brings to the Cromwell team nearly 30 years of hospitality experience, including his most recent position as general manager for the Holiday Inn New London. Moran previously served as general manager for numerous hotels, including the Residence Inn in Tinton Falls, NJ, and the Ramada Limited in Branford, CT. He also held the position of general manager for the award-winning Octagon restaurant at the Mystic Marriott Hotel and Spa in Groton. �Chuck�s leadership skills and his experience in both operations and food & beverage make him the ideal candidate for this position,� said Terry Bickhardt, co-president for Waterford Hotel Group. �We wish him great success in his new role in Cromwell.� Moran is highly involved in his community, holding positions on numerous committees and tourism organizations in Connecticut. In October of this year, he was named as President of the Connecticut Lodging Association for a 2-year term.
