Life Resorts and Hoang Tra Travel and Trading Co. Co-developing
a 182-room Resort on Danang's China Beach in Vietnam
DANANG, Viet Nam (22 Sept. 2008) The Life Resorts signed an agreement with Hoang Tra Travel and Trading Co. last Thursday for the co-development of a 182-room property on Danangs China Beach. Life Resort Danang plans to open its four-hectare (10 acre) resort in the fall of 2009. Located three kilometers from downtown Danang and 30 kilometers from Hoi An, the new beachfront property will emerge as the largest entity in Lifes growing suite of owned and managed properties in Vietnam. . After several years operation in nearby Hoi An, weve realized that weve only scratched the surface of travelers interest in central Vietnam, said Chris Duffy, general director of the Life Resorts. Theres an incomparable depth of attraction, and density of attraction here, whether a traveler is seeking a profound cultural engagement with this country or a stint on the sands of its most renown beach. The resorts initial design calls for several food & beverage outlets, including a 250-seat flagship venue, a spa and health club, casino and a business center than can accommodate 500 for banquets and 750 in theater-style seating. A pair of four-storey hotel blocks house most of the resorts rooms, including 10 executive suites and a presidential suite. Fifteen stand-alone villas flank one side of a long pool corridor splicing the middle of the resort. The new Life property boasts proximity to three UNESCO World Heritage sites Hoi An, Hue (90km distant) and My Son (40 km), the former colonial French hill stations at Bach Ma and Ba Na, the Marble Mountains, Son Tra Peninsula, Lang Co and the Hai Van Headlands. The resort will be located on Ho Xuan Huong Street, at Bac My An Beach. ABOUT LIFE RESORTS Beyond Danang, Life Resorts owns and operates the 94-room Life Heritage
Resort Hoi An. Reopened in August after a major six-month renovation, the
resort evokes the colonial splendor of a bygone era on a quiet stretch
of the Thu Bon River within walking distance of the trading ports world-famous
downtown. The company also owns and operates the Life Wellness Resort Quy
Nhon. Inspired by the architecture of the Kingdom of Champa, the 63-room
hideaway boutique is dedicated to the tenets of wellness, from yoga, tai
chi and Pilates to an ample range of spa treatments and anti-stress and
detox programs.
