Prior to her recent appointment, Foresman was the Director of Sales and Marketing at the University Plaza Hotel since 2006.  She began her career at the hotel as Food and Beverage Director in 1996.  Over the next six years, Foresman held various management positions with Murphy Reader/ Associates, Inc. as Food and Beverage Director, General Manager of the Cumberland Place Exhibition Center and Vice President of Food, Beverage and Convention Services.  From 1993-1996, she served in a variety of food and beverage positions with The Levy Restaurants at McCormick Place in Chicago, IL.

Foresman, a native of Clinton County, is a graduate of Purdue University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Restaurant, Hotel, Institutional and Tourism Management.  She is a member of the Purdue Alumni Association, President�s Council, John Purdue Club and the Religious Conference Management Association.  Ms. Foresman is a Certified Meeting Professional and participated in the 2005 Disney Institute for Management, Leadership and Marketing.  
 
Over the last year, the University Plaza Hotel (www.universityplazahotelwestlafayette.com) completely renovated its guest rooms with new bedding and carpet, marble bathroom vanities, wall coverings and furniture.  Renovation of the hotel�s lobby, meeting rooms and public areas recently commenced and is scheduled for completion this fall.  The hotel�s exterior also will be completely renovated and will feature a new color scheme and enhanced landscaping.  The 171-room hotel is located at 3001 Northwestern Avenue in West Lafayette and features 13,000 square feet of meeting space, the Garden Café restaurant and Tailgate Lounge, full service catering, an indoor and outdoor pool, a business center, 18-guest suites and an exercise room.

Located one mile from Purdue University, the University Plaza Hotel also is within a few minutes of Purdue Research Park, shopping, recreation and entertainment venues.  The hotel is managed by Hostmark Hospitality Group and owned by an affiliate of True North Management Group.
