Because of its pristine location a Marine Ecology Research Centre has been setup, where the resorts Marine Biologist team works on the propagation of endangered Giant Clams as well as Coral Reef rehabilitation programs. The centre of the Marine Centre is our large aquarium displays of sea life from around Malaysia. See what happens beneath the mangroves or where spotted moray eels like to hide. Guests can even peer at our baby Giant Clams under a microscope as they grow or feel the roughness of our sand shark. Guests are invited to participate in our coral regeneration by making coral plantings in the centre.

Honeymooners will love being able to take a newly grown coral with them diving and plant on the reef or our sunken dive wreck. Alternatively they could just laze away the days on the balcony of their over water villa and when it gets too warm, slip into the clear waters of Malohom Bay directly from their balcony.

Gayana Eco Resort has 44 luxury rooms all located over water and feature balconies, large bathroom with Harnn luxury amenities, in villa private bar, king or twin beds with luxury linens, feather pillows and duvet, LCD televisions and DVD players. The resort offers plenty of activities based around the island and local area; Jungle treks through the untouched jungle of the island where you can see monkeys, wild boar, monitors lizards, snakes, Hornbill birds or try and spot the shy proboscis monkey and much more. Guided kayak trips get guests out on the  water and taking in the sea and island life from a different angle.
