Manfred Pieper Named General Manager
of the Conrad Bangkok

August 2008: Conrad Hotels & Resorts, the global contemporary luxury
hotel Brand, today welcomes Manfred Pieper as the new General Manager of
the Conrad Bangkok. Manfred will be responsible for the overall operations
of the hotel and the Conrad Bangkok Residences, ensuring they remain a
top choice amongst business and leisure travellers in the region.
Manfred has extensive experience in hotel management and his career with Hilton Hotels Corporation in Asia Pacific spans 20 years. Prior to his new role at the Conrad Bangkok, Manfred was the General Manager of the Hilton Guam Resort & Spa and the Hilton Tokyo. He has also held the position of Vice President, Japan, East Asia and Micronesia, looking after twelve Hilton International properties, including the Hilton Bangkok. Manfred replaces former General Manager, Greg Meadows. The 391-room Conrad Bangkok is a contemporary, luxury hotel nestled in the heart of Wireless Road, a mere stone's throw from the city's most vibrant shopping and dining venues, and the convenient BTS Skytrain and subway. In the past five years the Conrad Bangkok has received a number of awards and accolades including Conde Nast Traveler's "Gold List 2008 & 2007", "Top 50 Hotels in Asia", Travel + Leisure Magazine's World Best Awards 2007 and "Best Business Hotel" 2007 Travel Weekly (Asia) Industry Awards.
