The renovation was part of a planned six-year refresh, and makes the  property one of the most up-to-date and modern existing Fairfield Inn & Suites in the Marriott system.  The changes encompassed the hotel�s common areas and guestroom soft goods.  The lobby, breakfast area, business center, and exercise room all received new carpet, vinyl, and furniture.   All of the hotel�s guestrooms were updated with new bedding, carpet, draperies, and artwork.  Approximately $350,000 was spent on the renovation.

The hotel is located directly off Interstate 85 in Anderson, SC, just 11 miles from Clemson University.  It is a three-story, interior corridor asset featuring 79 guest rooms, including 19 suites.  The property opened in 2001 and is strategically located in the Upstate region of South Carolina, one of the strongest manufacturing centers in the country.  The Upstate region is a designated foreign trade zone which boasts the highest level of foreign capital investment per capita in the United States.

The Fairfield Inn & Suites Anderson/Clemson is currently owned by Anderson Premier Lodging, LLC and managed by Atlanta-based Westway Hospitality.
