Russ Craney Selected as the General Manager of
The Osprey at Beaver Creek, A RockResort
.

BROOMFIELD, Colo., May 20, 2008 - RockResorts and Vail Resorts Hospitality announced today that Russ Craney has been selected as the new general manager of The Osprey at Beaver Creek, A RockResort. He will start his new position June 10, 2008. The Osprey at Beaver Creek formerly known as the Inn at Beaver Creek is undergoing a $7-million transformation this summer and will be relaunched as RockResorts' newest addition in time for the 2008-2009 ski season.

Craney brings a diverse resume to this position. His experience encompasses leadership roles within the hospitality industry; however, he has also competed professionally on the US Mogul Tour. The combination of his tenure within the hospitality industry and passion for skiing and the great outdoors makes him the ideal candidate for the position of general manager for The Osprey at Beaver Creek.

From 1995 to 2000, Craney competed professionally on the US Mogul Tour. In addition, he was a ski columnist for the Vail Daily from 1997-1999. In 2000, he entered the hospitality industry as the general manager of Chap's Grill & Chophouse at the Vail Cascade Resort & Spa. From 2002 until 2005, he served as the banquet manager, assistant food and beverage director and food and beverage director respectively for the Vail Cascade Resort & Spa.

In 2005, he joined the RockResorts family as the director of operations for the Lodge & Spa at Cordillera. His most recent experience with the RockResorts collection was as the assistant general manager for the Hotel Jerome from 2007 until he accepted the position of general manager of The Osprey at Beaver Creek.

"We are excited to welcome someone from within the RockResorts family to the position of general manager of The Osprey at Beaver Creek. Russ' proven commitment to the RockResorts standard of excellence made him a perfect fit for this position," said Stan Brown, executive vice president and chief operating officer of RockResorts and Vail Resorts Hospitality. "His varied background will be invaluable when managing The Osprey at Beaver Creek, which is the closest hotel to a ski lift in North America."

Craney earned his bachelor's degree in Psychology from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

RockResorts, a wholly owned subsidiary of Vail Resorts, owns and operates luxury resort hotels that offer casually elegant accommodations, lavish RockResorts Spas(TM), renowned golf courses, award-winning dining and a variety of exciting outdoor adventures.
