Joseph F. Smith Named President of Alliance Hospitality
Management LLC,
Formerly the President of Boykin Management Company

| Raleigh, NC (May 6, 2008) � Alliance Hospitality Management
LLC is pleased to announce the appointment of Joseph F. Smith as its new
President. Mr. Smith will have overall responsibility for Alliance Hospitalities
48 properties in 18 states. Mr. Smith was most recently the President of
Boykin Management Company.
A 25 year veteran of the industry Mr. Smith has held a variety of industry positions including Senior Vice President of Asset Management for Boykin Lodging Company (NYSE:BOY), Regional Vice President of Operations, General Manager of Marriott Hotels in Cleveland, and Columbus, OH as well as Corporate Food and Beverage Director. Mr. Smith has been a member of IACC (International Association of Conference Centers) and HAMA (Hotel Asset Managers Association). Mr. Smith holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from the University of Wisconsin. �Joe brings an incredible amount of experience and results driven success to our team� said Rolf Tweeten, Chairman of Alliance Hospitality Group. �Joe�s experience will help us continue to grow our portfolio of select and full service hotels�. Mr. Smith has held previous positions with TGI Friday�s and American Airlines.
