News for the Hospitality Executive |
MONTREAL,
CANADA (May 13, 2008) Elfiq Networks, a growing leader in the development
of innovative bandwidth management and network security solutions, today
announced the launch of its new Quality of Service (QoS) technology which
delivers an enhanced experience for Internet access in the hospitality
vertical market.
Hospitality properties are tasked with managing their guests Internet access offering so it will prove to be a positive experience for each guest during every stay and enhance satisfaction scores, said Jean Pascal Hebert, Vice-President of Business Development for Elfiq Networks. This QoS technology lets them proactively allocate bandwidth priorities for key applications such as guest VPNs, guest Web surfing, guest email connectivity and internal systems so they can deliver optimal bandwidth. Elfiqs Quality of Service technology enables organizations to allocate bandwidth on a per-link basis for each traffic type based on its level of importance. Critical traffic will be promoted and have reserved bandwidth allocated while less significant traffic will be demoted and its total available bandwidth limited. The new release of the Elfiq Load Balancer makes even better use of the available Internet connection by allowing us to minimize the impact of one or more guests that might otherwise consume all of our bandwidth, said Jason Shane, Director of IT at Hersha Hospitality. The new release has made a positive impact on the guest experience, and we are ready to roll it out to the rest of our portfolio. Elfiq Networks products are installed in over 150 hospitality properties, servicing multiple Internet links for more than 30,000 rooms, including properties from the top ten hospitality chains. Elfiq products will be displayed at the annual HITEC show in Austin, Texas, June 16-19, 2008, booth 109. For further information on Elfiq Link Load Balancers, visit www.elfiq.com.
