Flyte Systems Triples Size in First Year of Operations
Providing Airline Information to Aid Busy Travelers
.
At HITEC 08 Flyte will cement leadership, build partnerships
to deliver real-time airline information
.

Chicago, IL June 10, 2008 Flyte Systems, the leading provider of airport travel information displays and digital signage content for the hospitality industry, digital signage, convention centers and related businesses, has seen its sales triple in its first year of business, driven by the exploding trend of travelers demanding guest centric solutions that provide airline flight information and add confidence to air travel.
.
Flyte Systems President Brian Reynolds points to the service differentiators and increased revenue stream his products provide to clients.  In this current climate of challenging air travel, guests are demanding effective new ways to make their travel day go smoother, he said.  Not only do Flytes products deliver what guests want, many of our hotel and conference center clients have implemented some very creative options to assist stranded guests that also add to the bottom line.

The next in-room coffee maker

The popularity of Flytes products, Reynolds says, can be summed up by one hotel general managers enthusiastic review.  He called it the next in-room coffee maker because his guests, who flocked to the FlyteBoard screen in the lobby every day, wanted to know when they would be able to get the information piped directly into their rooms, said Reynolds, who was quick to note that option is already available through FlyteChannel.

Airline information drives partnerships, growth

Reynolds also credits Flytes impressive growth to a series of recent partnerships with leading digital signage providers, another field that is experiencing rapid expansion.  Our product adds value to the digital content our signage partners provide, Reynolds noted.  It is easily integrated to digital technology and automatically updates.  It is truly an add and go element that fills a very necessary need in todays travel industry.

HITEC highlights

In addition to its HITEC presence in Booth 351, Reynolds said Flyte Systems will also be providing conference attendees with boarding pass printing and delivering live airline information feed for flights at Austin International Airport to other booth locations on the floor in partnership with digital signage and in-room entertainment vendors.  These partnerships clearly demonstrate how adaptable and valuable our product is, said Reynolds, and how much value it adds to other companys offerings, particularly digital signage and entertainment providers.  Reynolds invites attendees to experience first-hand the convenience and security they bring to a travelers day.

Real-time flight information

What sets Flyte Systems apart from other PC-based applications is its ability to post accurate, real-time airline flight arrival and departure information, not FAA-regulated scheduled departure times that do not list delays caused by:

  • Air Traffic Control
  • Aircraft maintenance
  • Crew availability
  • Weather
Flyte Systems offers a suite of products that serve the traveling public and includes FlyteTouch, FlytePass, FlyteChannel and FlyteBoard.
  • FlyteTouch enables individual guests to search flight information via touch screens that display real-time flight arrivals and departures for one or more airports.
  • FlytePass uses FlyteTouch technology and adds free, secure boarding pass printing, packaged in an attractive all-wood kiosk.
  • FlyteChannel enables guests to view live airport arrival/departure screens from their in-room TV.
  • FlyteBoard is a wall, floor or ceiling mounted high-definition, flat panel screen for lobbies, restaurants, bars and other public areas, displaying flight information for one or more airports.
Many hotel properties also use Flyte Systems applications to increase revenue with innovative marketing approaches for distressed travelers.  For tips on how to generate revenue by providing guests with Flyte Systems airline information, please log on to the Flyte Systems website at www.flytesystems.com.

If you are attending HITEC 2008 in Austin, be sure to confirm your flights departure
information and print your boarding pass at the Flyte Systems
booth # 351 to save time at the airport.

Flyte Systems will also be providing its flight information feed to digital signage provider DT Research at InfoComm 08 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, June 18-20.
