CARMEL, Calif. (June 19, 2008) Wayne Levenfeld, president and owner of Pacific Valley Investors (PVI), has announced the highly anticipated re-opening of the newly renovated Carmel Mission Inn (www.carmelmissioninn.com), located at the entrance of Carmel Valley and just minutes away from Carmel-by-the-Sea, the world-renowned Monterey Bay Aquarium and other attractions of the Monterey/Carmel area, including 19 championship golf courses.

The $6.5 Million renovation includes a complete transformation of all guest rooms and public areas, new outdoor courtyard and garden, and a new, upscale destination restaurant, Fuse Lounge Café, which will open in early August 2008.

The new Carmel Mission Inn welcomes guests with a distinctly contemporary boutique look and feela marked departure from the areas more traditional hotelsan edgy ambience with trendy design elements and bright, vivid colors.  Guest rooms are equipped with 37 flat screen televisions, complimentary wireless internet access, IPOD and MP3 player docking stations, refrigerators, in-room safes, fluffy bathrobes and luxury bath amenities.

The Carmel Mission Inn renovation brings to life the transformation that has long been sought in the Carmel and Monterey Peninsula area said Levenfeld.  With modern interior decor and design by Jill Cole and Antonia De Fonte the property takes full advantage of the beauty of the area creating a destination within a destination.

The king guest rooms and suites feature a backlit colorful shell mural, adjustable reading lamps, moveable work desks, spacious baths with imported granite vanities, and glass showers or tubs. The property also features a number of rooms containing two full size queen beds.

The hotels 4,000 square feet of indoor meeting and event space along with the outdoor plaza make the Carmel Mission Inn the largest meeting hotel in Carmel.

Executive Chef Donald Rentfrow will preside over the hotels new 60-seat restaurant, Fuse Lounge & Café, drawing upon organic produce from the hotels natural herb garden to help shape his menus.  Overlooking the pool, Fuse Lounge & Café features a mahogany bar, stack stone columns, intimate seating areas and a cozy fireplace. The menu will feature extensive appetizer and small-plate choices, a variety of entrée selections, and a large selection of high-end wines by the glass.  Designed to exude a smart, urban vibe, the restaurant also features a separate bar area where guests can enjoy their favorite cocktail or café latte.

Carmel Mission Inn is affiliated with Luxe Hotels and Resorts, known for chic, unique and great locations worldwide. Carmel Mission Inn is located at 3665 Rio Road adjacent to two boutique shopping centers.  For reservations and event bookings, please call 831-624-1841 or toll free 800-348-9090.
