SUNNYVALE, CALIF. — APRIL 18, 2008 — In an effort to further enhance the already outstanding guest services at their hotels and resorts, two Florida companies have turned to Vertical Systems Inc. (VSi) and are now offering the VSi BoardEZ™ airline boarding-pass printing system.
Orlando-based Millennium Technology Group, a subsidiary of Rosen Hotels & Resorts that is the IT arm of that hotel group and provides IT services to other hotels, and LXR Luxury Resorts & Hotels, Boca Raton, both now feature VSi BoardEZ™ stations at many of their properties—and are considering adding more.
Sunnyvale-based VSi is a global leader in guest-services technology and solutions aimed at helping hotels serve the growing needs of business travelers. VSi’s BoardEZ™ product provides a fast, easy-to-use way for guests to print their airline boarding pass before leaving the hotel. In addition, BoardEZ™ allows guests to purchase airline tickets and change their travel itinerary. The BoardEZ™ system provides complete privacy and security for user’s personal information, and hotels can either charge guests for its use or offer it as a complimentary service.

Millennium Technology Group began by installing one unit in one of the seven Rosen properties in the Orlando area, but has found that the BoardEZ™ stations have been so well-accepted that additional installations are on the horizon for other Rosen properties.
“We wanted to see how the traffic was—and we found out that guests love the BoardEZ™ station and used it a lot,” Bina said. “We’re looking at installing a total of eight BoardEZ™ units in the remaining six Rosen hotels this summer.”
LXR Vice President of Procurement Jay Schwartz said all 30 of the group’s hotels have installed VSi BoardEZ™ stations. “Most of them have one unit, but we’ve started adding more units at our larger hotels,” he said. “We’re considering having as many as five or six BoardEZ™ units in certain busy areas of our larger properties.
“Guest acceptance has been fantastic,” Schwartz added. “We hear from guests that they love the BoardEZ™ stations, especially in today’s air-travel environment where getting a boarding pass or rearranging flights can be very time-consuming. It’s a great service and amenity for our guests and it’s an excellent product. There have been no IT issues with our BoardEZ™ units. VSi is a hospitality player and its people definitely know what they’re doing.”
