Martin Mangan Appointed General Manager
of the Conrad Dublin, Ireland

April 30 2008: Martin Mangan has joined Conrad Hotels & Resorts, the global contemporary luxury hotel brand, as General Manager of the Conrad Dublin.

Martin will manage all operational efforts with a focus on further enhancing the Conrad Dublins position as one of the citys most prestigious luxury hotels. Martin replaces the former highly regarded General Manager, Laurens Zieren, who recently transferred to the Hilton New York.

With a career spanning 19 years in the hospitality sector, Martin brings a wealth of experience to the brand. Having spent the past nine years working in Ireland, his knowledge of the Dublin hospitality scene will prove indispensable.

Prior to taking up his new role at the Conrad Dublin, Martin was General Manager at the Royal Marine Hotel in Dun Laoghaire, where he oversaw the hotels re-opening. He has also held senior management positions at The Grand Canal Hotel in Dublin and Jurys Doyle Hotels in Dublin and London. Martin has also previously worked for Hilton Hotels Corporation in California (from 1995 to 1999), where he held the position of Director of Front Office Operations at the Oakland Airport Hilton and Hilton Los Angeles Airport.

Commenting on the appointment, Friedrich Schaefer, Area General Manager for Ireland, said: Martins vast experience in the hospitality sector and, in particular his intricate knowledge of the Irish market, will ensure that our discerning guests continue to have a unique experience at the Conrad Dublin. Under his guidance, we are confident that the hotel will continue to cement its position as one of Dublins top luxury hotels.
