VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, March 13, 2008 – Boutique Hotels & Resorts of British Columbia is pleased to announce the appointment of Diane Mombourquette as General Manager of the spectacular new Black Rock Oceanfront Resort in Ucluelet. Located on the west coast of British Columbia’s Vancouver Island, Mombourquette will lead the hotel through its highly anticipated opening in early summer 2008 and carry on to build its reputation as one of Canada’s finest resort properties.

Mombourquette has a reputation in the travel industry as one of its most talented. Her knowledge and direction helped in establishing the success of the world-class resort. Following her departure from Tourism Whistler, Mombourquette took the position of general manager of economic viability for the Resort Municipality of Whistler where she spent the past year working with resort partners in supporting the tourism economy.

“Diane’s wealth of experience is unquestionable. In addition, her collaborative style combined with her commitment to results makes her an ideal candidate for the position, and a perfect complement to the team,“ says Mike Duggan, president of Boutique Hotels & Resorts or British Columbia. “As a company, we look forward to working with and supporting Diane in building this iconic hotel.”
