COLUMBIA, Md., March 3, 2008 - MICROS
Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: MCRS), a leading provider of information technology
solutions to the hospitality and retail industries, is pleased to announce
that Danubius Hotels Nyrt. has selected MICROS 9700 Hospitality Management
System (HMS) and OPERA Central Systems solutions for all of its 56 hotels.
The OPERA component includes OPERA Customer Information System (OCIS),
OPERA Reservation System (ORS), OPERA Sales Force Administration (SFA),
OPERA Web Services, and myfidelio.net. The initial deployment of 38 hotels
will occur in Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, UK, and later in its hotels
in Romania. The complete roll out is scheduled between September 2008 and
November 2009.
Founded in 1972, this Budapest based company owns and operates the majority of its hotels in central & eastern Europe. Offering diverse facilities, including, spas, business and conference accommodations, meeting rooms, and fitness centers, Danubius required an all-inclusive POS and Central Systems solution capable of managing large, complex operations for its entire hotel chain. MICROS 9700 HMS offers Danubius, a scalable and web-enabled enterprise point-of-sale solution with a powerful technology platform. The OPERA Central Systems suite provides centralized and fully-integrated tools for database management, central reservations, sales support, and web-based inventory management.
