Quality Suites Maingate East, the Most Successful Property
of Choice Hotels
in Central Florida, Completes Property Upgrade and Name
Change to Royale Parc Suites
KISSIMMEE, Fla.- January 14, 2008 - The most successful property of Choice Hotels International in Central Florida, the Quality Suites Maingate East, has just completed an extensive, multi-million dollar hotel-wide renovation and upgrade, including a name change to Royale Parc Suites. Royale Parc Suites is the name that both the owners and management feel accurately conveys the New Orleans French Quarter style for the 224 guest suites and surroundings. They sought to capture the essence of classic New Orleans - the texture of its architecture, the colors of the garden courtyards, the buzz from the sidewalk cafes, and the grid of filigreed wrought iron all signature characteristics woven throughout the historic city. To that end, Gary Williams, President & CEO, Coakley Williams Hotel Management Company turned to award-winning architect and designer, Deborah Lelko of Architecture + Design Associates, Inc. All agreed the townhouse look of the hotel provided an ideal stepping off point for achieving a New Orleans caché. The hotel already had elements of French architecture, so the New Orleans theme works perfectly, said Lelko. One of the key elements that tie the design together is the use of wrought iron, so reminiscent of the ladders and balconies of the French Quarter. To achieve this, the five-story atrium is embellished with a ribbon of ornamental wrought iron railing, creating the lacy balcony effect of the French Quarter and providing an enchanting courtyard setting for the hotels outdoor dining, pool bar and pool area. Our goal for the new look is to portray all the nostalgia and charm of an upscale suite hotel in the French Quarter or Garden District of New Orleans, said Duane Winjum CHA, the hotels General Manager. Guests come to Central Florida for the entertainment value, and we want to provide that, but in a very polished and sophisticated manner. This theme is exactly the setting we desired. Each of the hotelss over-sized 224 guest suites received significant upgrades. The new suite designs are focused on being chic, yet comfortable, said Winjum. We know that in addition to location and value, the demand is all about comfort. Our suites have all the appointments of a more luxurious suite than in the past, while maintaining the welcoming, residential feel that is so appealing. Among the improvements are:
In addition to the indoor dining room, a new gazebo style dining room, the Sidewalk Café, is located in the five-story atrium giving guests the sense of dining in one of the historic citys famed garden courtyards. Also located in the courtyard atrium is Frenchmans Cove, a laid back, bayou inspired bar offers complimentary beer, wine, and soft drinks from 5 7 each day. Royale Parc Suites is conveniently located just one mile from the entrance to Walt Disney World® Resort, next door to the nostalgic, Disney-inspired town of Celebration. The hotel features complimentary scheduled shuttle transportation to area attractions, nightly managers receptions, daily hot & cold breakfast buffet, and wireless Internet access. A Quality Suites® Hotel, Royale Parc Suites is professionally managed by Coakley & Williams Hotel Management Company in Greenbelt, Maryland. The hotel management company currently operates 21 hotels in seven states including the District of Columbia. |
