are pleased to announce the opening of the newest Hampton Inn in Columbia,
S.C. The 80-room Hampton Inn opened Friday January 11, 2008, four days
prior to the originally scheduled date. The Hampton Inn on Clemson Road
features the latest in Hampton Inn design with a residential flare.
Each well-appointed guest room features high speed internet access, 32-inch
flat screen high definition televisions and Hampton Inn�s signature Cloud
9 bedding package. Property amenities include a well equipped business
center, Suite Shoppe, Fitness Center, outdoor pool, and meeting rooms with
capacities up to 100 people. The property is located in one of the fastest
growing areas in Columbia in close proximity to the area�s top demand generators.
The property manager is Michael Morgan, a graduate of the Florida State
Hospitality School and a native to the Columbia area. Lisa Kaplan
has been named the property�s Director of Sales and brings years of experience
in hotel sales with her.
Palmetto Investment Group is owned by local real estate developer Roger
Tandon and his partner Vivek Tandon, owner of the hotel�s two sister properties
in Fayetteville, N.C. This is the second hotel developed by Palmetto Investment
Group in the Columbia area. Their first hotel, the Holiday Inn Express
on Clemson Road opened in 1999 and will undergo a significant renovation
this year.
