| DALLAS - January 29, 2008 - The Hotel
Association of Greater Dallas announced today its newly elected slate of
2008 officers and board members. Elected to lead the organization in the
coming year are Michael Vance, General Manager of the Omni Mandalay Hotel
in Irving, Texas who will serve as president of the Association in 2008
and Tom Garcia, General Manager of the Adolphus Hotel in Dallas, Texas
who will serve as the chair of the Board of Directors.
Their election along with other Board of Director positions occurred
at the Association�s annual meeting on January 17, 2008. Other officers
elected included Bob Perkins, La Quinta Corporation as vice president,
James Montgomery, Gateway Hospitality, as secretary and Tim Sullivan, General
Manager of the Renaissance Hotel Dallas who will serve as treasurer.
More than 200 persons attended the annual meeting held at the Omni Mandalay
Hotel in Irving, Texas including Dallas Mayor Tom Leppert and Addison Mayor
Joe Chow. In addition to local hoteliers from across the Metroplex, other
special guests in attendance included numerous local and state elected
officials, representatives from the Dallas and Irving Convention &
Visitors Bureaus and tourism officials from several Dallas area cities. |
