The Light Group Appoints Three to Executive Positions at the The Harmon Hotel,
Spa & ResidencesLocated at MGM MIRAGE’s CityCenter, Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, NV – Thomas Becker, General Manager of The Harmon Hotel, Spa & Residences, is pleased to announce the appointment of Liran Peterzil as Vice President of Business Development and Customer Relations, Catherine Becker as Director of Rooms, and Dave Duggan as Director of Facilities.

“These professionals bring their exceptional expertise to support our vision to create and pursue the premier levels of service and the ultimate luxury lifestyle experience for our guests,” comments Becker. 

As Vice President of Business Development and Customer Relations, Liran Peterzil will oversee all business related strategic development, public relations and media coordination, as well as branding, customer services and global customer relations.

Mr. Peterzil has a keen understanding of emerging trends resulting from his extensive international experience working in the worlds of diplomacy and entertainment. Previously, Mr. Peterzil was Chief of Staff to Richard Lovett, the President of Creative Artists Agency (CAA) in Beverly Hills - the world's largest talent and literary agency which represents stars such as Julia Roberts, Tom Cruise, and Steven Spielberg, along with many others in the world of film, television, music, sports and marketing.  Prior to CAA, he served as Chief of Staff to the Ambassador of Israel to the United States in Washington DC, where he was part of the team liaising between the United States and Israeli governments and worked closely with the (then) Prime Minister of Israel, Ariel Sharon. 

Serving as the Director of Rooms, Catherine Becker will oversee all aspects of The Harmon’s room procedures, services and systems as well as all in-house departments maintaining supreme personalized service for guests and residents. 

An industry veteran, Ms. Becker brings with her more than 20 years of unparalleled hospitality experience making her ideally suited to her new role. Throughout her career, she has served in various executive positions at some of the country’s finest hotels, including The Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa and The Mandarin Oriental San Francisco. Ms. Becker’s unique skills and international background were also derived from roles at some of the most distinguished properties like the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group headquarters in Hong Kong, and Sun International (presently called One & Only Resorts) in the Indian Ocean, Bahamas & Dubai.

As Director of Facilities, Dave Duggan will oversee all aspects of maintaining the physical infrastructure of The Harmon property, including construction coordination, technical oversight departments, maintenance and upkeep.

Mr. Duggan has been a vital part of the Las Vegas hospitality market since arriving in 1993 to open Treasure Island as an Engineer. Prior to joining The Harmon Hotel, Spa & Residences, Mr. Duggan was an integral part of facility operations from day one at Bellagio. In his nine years there, his experience and skills included handling all internal and external projects at Bellagio, as well as being part of the production of blockbuster hits such as Ocean's 11, 12 and 13. His in-depth knowledge and understanding of the city’s property’s needs and operations give him a unique vantage point in maintaining the uncompromising luxury feel and experience that The Harmon will embrace. 

Opening in Fall 2009 at MGM MIRAGE’s CityCenter, The Harmon Hotel, Spa & Residences will be one of the most luxurious, high-quality boutique hotels across the globe boasting 400 hotel rooms and suites, and approximately 207 luxury condominiums. Operated and managed by The Light Group and designed by the internationally renowned firm Foster + Partners, The Harmon is fashioning an outstanding selection of stylish amenities and services that will surpass all current standards of the world’s finest hotels.
