Marriott International Names Drew Salapka the General
Manager
of the Year for the TownePlace Suites Brand of Hotels
ATLANTA,
GA (January 31, 2008) � Marriott International recently named Drew Salapka
the General Manager of the Year for its TownePlace Suites brand of hotels
at a national conference in Anaheim, CA,. Selected from among general
managers throughout the United States, Mr. Salapka serves as General Manager
of the TownePlace Suites-Kennesaw, a hotel managed by Atlanta-based Hotel
Equities (HE). He is Hotel Equities� 7th GM to earn a national honor.
A long-term associate with Hotel Equities, Mr. Salapka has managed the TownePlace Suites property for more than three years. He also serves as a brand manager for HE. Moody National Companies owns the hotel. �Drew is a dedicated person of integrity who connects with our guests to deliver world-class service,� said Hotel Equities President Fred Cerrone. �His balanced success exceeds the expectations of all key stakeholders with excellent house profit, consistently high Associate Opinion Scores and Guest Satisfaction Scores.� Mr. Salapka and his hotel won an additional eight national awards including the Gold Hotel honor, runner-up for Training Hotel of the Year and individual awards for the Highest Guest Satisfaction Scores in Cleanliness, Arrival Experience and Service and for Most Improved Guest Satisfaction for Cleanliness. Marriott honored Mr. Salapka and his hotel with awards for raising the Most Money per Occupied Room for Children�s Miracle Network and for the Most Money Raised (overall) for Children�s Miracle Network, a nonprofit organization supported by Marriott International and the TownePlace Suites brand of hotels. Mr. Salapka joined Hotel Equities in 1999 as a Bench Manager for the company. In 2000, the company tapped him as General Manager of the Fairfield Inn & Suites � Macon where he served until 2004. At that time, the company promoted him to manage the TownePlace Suites-Kennesaw and serve as TPS Brand Manager for Hotel Equities. His success is a reflection of his leadership skills, sales ability and analytical prowess. Since 2006, Mr. Salapka has also served as Revenue Manager for Hotel Equities by providing valuable daily analysis of room sales. A resident of Sandy Springs, Mr. Salapka enjoys water skiing, hiking, camping and occasional sky diving in his free time. Hotel Equities (HE) is an Atlanta-based full-scale hotel management, development and consulting firm. Frederick W. Cerrone, CHA, serves as President and CEO.
