Richard McLennan Named General Manager at Resort
at Squaw Creek in Olympic Valley, California

Olympic Valley, Calif. October 10, 2007 - Hospitality veteran Richard McLennan has been named general manager of the AAA Four-Diamond Resort at Squaw Creek in Olympic Valley, California.  A graduate of Ecole Hotelier de Lausanne in Switzerland, McLennan, an avid skier, brings over 30 years of resort operations and management experience to the position, with specific ski and golf destination expertise.

Most recently, McLennan served as hotel manager for The Island Hotel in Newport Beach, California.  Originally a Four Seasons property, he successfully transitioned the property to an independent resort.  For five years prior to his term at the Island Hotel, McLennan served as general manager of the St. Regis Aspen in Aspen, Colorado.  He also served in management roles for nine years with Daufuskie Island Club and Resort, Quail Hollow Resort and Country Club, the Homestead, and Pinehurst Resort & Country Club.

"Richard has had a remarkable career in the hospitality industry, said Roger Beck, managing director for Resort at Squaw Creek.  "His history of providing high levels of guest service while training great young managers make him the perfect person to lead Resort at Squaw Creek in the coming years.

"I'm excited to be here at Resort at Squaw Creek, said McLennan.  It's gratifying to return to a mountain environment, and this resort in particular, which has so much to offer.

McLennan will oversee operations for the 405-room ski-in, ski-out property at the base of Squaw Valley USA, five miles from Lake Tahoe.  The resort features four restaurants, a full-services spa, a championship golf course, tennis courts and the Mountain Buddies children's program.  Resort at Squaw Creek also features 33,000 square feet of indoor meeting space and 14,750 square feet of exterior meeting space.

McLennan replaces Stan Kantowski, who assumed the general manager position at sister Destination Hotels & Resorts property Miramonte Resort and Spa in Indian Wells, California, near Palm Springs.
