PARADISE TOWNSHIP, Pa., Oct. 22, 2007 - Mount Airy Casino Resort, a $412 million luxury resort destination located in the heart of the Pocono Mountains, opened its doors to the public in ceremonies marking the facilitys official grand opening today. Opening its doors just 15 months after officially breaking ground, the spectacular new casino resort is expected to spur the regions tourism even as it brings Northeastern Pennsylvanias hospitality offerings to a whole new level.

The opening of the casino, complete with 2,523 slot machines, and the resorts four dining establishments, marks the first major milestone of Mount Airys Phase I development, which will include a luxurious new hotel, a salon and spa, a fitness center, and great new dining, entertainment, and retail shopping venues for patrons.

The goal in developing Mount Airy Casino Resort was to create a world-class destination resort in the heart of the Pocono Mountains, said owner Louis DeNaples, a Pennsylvania businessman. We expect that Mount Airy Casino Resort will draw many more visitors to the Poconos, and thats what we have always wantedto create a place that complements the Poconos and is good for business throughout the region.

Its a great day for the Poconos and a great day for Pennsylvania, DeNaples said.

At Mount Airy Casino Resort, guests will be able to enjoy a complete entertainment and gaming experience, said Joe DAmato, the resorts Chief Executive Officer. We want to be known as a great place for people to come to get away and relax and play. This is unlike anything available in the region today and I think there is going to be a definite wow factor when people first walk into the building.

The casino features a mix of reel-spinning machines and the newest themed video slots, as well as progressive jackpots. Patrons will also be able to play the latest video poker, blackjack with virtual dealers, and roulette games. Slot denominations will range from penny machines to $25 machines. Dining options at the new resort include Red Steakhouse, offering the highest quality steaks and the freshest seafood; Le Sorelle Cucina, offering Italian delicacies; Bettys Diner, featuring All-American dining; and The Buffet at Mount Airy, open 24 hours a day.
