The Procaccianti Group Promotes JD Tamez to Regional Director
of Sales to Oversee Mid-West Region
|Providence, R.I., October 11, 2007 – Cranston, Rhode Island-based
real estate developer/hotelier, TPG Hospitality, a division of The Procaccianti
Group (TPG), today announced the promotion of JD Tamez to Regional Director
of Sales for the Mid-West Region.
“JD has led an extremely successful revenue generating team at our Westin DFW as the Area Director of Sales working with both the Westin DFW and the Sheraton Suites Dallas Market Center” states Erik McDonald, Vice President of Sales for TPG Hospitality.
McDonald continues “I’m very excited to have JD working with us in this new capacity and I’m certain he will add tremendous value in his new role just as he has over the past two years.”
At the Westin DFW, JD Tamez was responsible for developing an extremely strong sales team experiencing only 8% turnover in the past 12 months, exceeding 2007 revenue budget by $3.3M and exceeding last year’s revenue by $7.7M. Additionally, JD and his team were recognized by Starwood at the 2007 brand conference as the “Team HOT Hotel of the Year” and the “Transition Sales Team of the Year”.
Mr. Tamez’s brand experience includes over 13 years with Westin, Sheraton, Renaissance, Hilton, Hyatt and several independents.
