“Guy has been one of the most influential team members during our phenomenal growth the past several years,” said Paulin.  “He is poised to lead Aqua into our next growth phase which plans to add several hotels in the near future.” 

Underkoffler joined Aqua Hotels and Resorts as Controller in March 2003 when the company operated two properties – Aqua Waikiki Marina and Aqua Bamboo and Spa.  His previous experience converting and assessing the potential of newly-acquired hotels, while at Interstate Hotel Corporation and Starwood Hotels, helped initiate structure and development of Aqua’s strategic growth plan.  To date, implementation of the program has successfully added eight properties to Aqua’s inventory for a total of 10 hotels in Waikiki, positioning the company as #8 in a recent Hawaii poll of the ‘Fastest 50’ growing companies in 2007.
