Wireless Electronic Locking System . Canadas Largest Hotel to Utilize New TimeLox Wireless DC-ONLINE System |
DALLAS Nov. 12, 2007 TimeLox, a leading supplier of electronic
hotel-locking systems, has signed an agreement with the Delta Chelsea Hotel
in downtown Toronto to install its new wireless DC-ONLINE system by the
end of the year.
The TimeLox wireless DC-ONLINE system will allow the 1590-room Delta Chelsea to establish reliable two-way communication from stand-alone electronic locks to the propertys host security system. DC-ONLINE offers more than just electronic locks, bringing more security and control to properties like the Delta Chelsea, more services to hotel guests, more effective front desk operations and more efficient engineering and maintenance. The system utilizes bi-directional RF communication that eliminates the need to travel to each guestroom to reprogram individual locks or retrieve audit trail and allows hotel operators to remotely identify locks with low batteries or cancel cards without reprogramming the locks. DC-ONLINE provides centralized control not possible with traditional off-line stand-alone locks. The installation at the Delta Chelsea will allow most information updates and data retrieval to be managed remotely from the hotels main computer system, offering two-way command and control from one desktop. With transmission distances of up to 50 feet, DC-ONLINE components communicate with multiple rooms at once, significantly reducing the number of components required for installation compared to other online technologies. Additionally, the Delta Chelsea will employ the TimeLox DC-One dual card system, which combines reliable magnetic card technology with flexible smart card technology. Both systems were developed by TimeLox specifically to meet the unique security needs of large hotels, resorts and casinos according to ASSA ABLOY Hospitality North America president and CEO Marc Freundlich. We are excited and honored to outfit Canadas largest hotel, the Delta Chelsea, with DC-ONLINE, the newest addition to the TimeLox family of security products, Freundlich said. Additionally, working with the Delta Chelsea represents an important step in TimeLoxs to bring its unique features to the Canadian market. After a rigorous review, the Delta Chelsea selected TimeLox based on the brands strong reputation as the premiere locking solution for casinos, resorts, and large hotels, according to Delta Chelseas general manager Robert Housez. Enlisting an industry leader like TimeLox will enhance the prestige of the Delta Chelsea Hotel, Housez said. The security and convenience offered by the DC-ONLINE and traditional DC-One systems will help distinguish this hotel even further. Built on the ZigBee Standard ISO 802.15.4 platform, the only wireless highly-secured and open standards-based platform to address the unique needs of remote monitoring and access-control network applications, DC-ONLINE provides the Delta Chelsea with increased system reliability and performance at an affordable cost. Operating on an open, reliable and secure platform like ZigBee also enables smooth interface and integration opportunities for other online devices such as safes, energy management and mini bars. Part of the ASSA ABLOY Hospitality Group, TimeLox is a leading developer of locking systems for the international hospitality industry, offering user-friendly security systems that meet the unique operational needs of large hotels, casinos, and resorts.
