Benchmark Hospitality Appoints Linda Dennis Director of
Sales and Marketing for Naples Bay Resort
The Woodlands (Houston), Texas, November 2007 - Benchmark Hospitality International has announced the appointment of Linda Dennis to the position of director of sales and marketing for Naples Bay Resort, located in Naples, Florida. Roy Young, managing director, made the announcement. "It is with pleasure that I welcome Linda to Naples Bay Resort," said Mr. Young. "She brings significant resort and travel experience to her new position, which will serve the property well as we move toward opening." Linda Dennis comes to her new position at Naples Bay Resort with over 25 years of experience in hospitality sales and marketing. Her expertise crosses several sectors of the hospitality industry, including resort, airline, wholesale and vacation rental marketing. This experience will be essential in her new role at the resort. Previously, Ms. Dennis served as director of resort marketing for Cay Clubs International, responsible for marketing fifteen resorts, nine marinas and five restaurants. In this position, she was in charge of creating and managing marketing budgets, as well as directing advertising programming for the company as a whole. Dennis has also held the title of director of sales & marketing for The Inn at Little Harbor in Tampa, responsible for directing all marketing communications activities, strategic marketing partnerships and sales initiatives for the vacation rental division. Under her leadership revenue goals were exceeded by 32 percent in the first year. Ms. Dennis has served as director of leisure sales domestically and internationally for the Phoenix Convention & Visitors Bureau, and was in turn promoted to senior director of membership and services. Under her guidance, the Bureau's revenue goals were exceeded and efficiencies created, helping it to become one of the top five CVBs in the country. Dennis also directed the pre-opening sales and marketing operations for Luxor Las Vegas. While there, sales results exceeded forecasts and goals by 45 percent. Additionally, during her tenure there, she assisted with the pre-opening initiatives of sister Las Vegas properties the Monte Carlo Resort and Casino and Excalibur Hotel Casino. Linda Dennis has also worked with Mirage Resorts, where she led leisure marketing initiatives for the company. Earlier in her career, she worked with Southwest Airlines, operating out of regional offices in San Francisco, Las Vegas and Phoenix. While there she was presented with the 'Winning Spirit' award for her 'can do' attitude and results. Linda Dennis attended Western Kentucky University, located in Bowling Green. will be a Four Star, 193-key destination resort. The property will
feature an 85-key hotel with 65 suites, 108 spacious resort cottages, and
a contemporary gourmet restaurant and bar offering magnificent views of
the bay. Thirty townhomes and flats will round out the residential
mix at the resort. The property will provide 3,200 square feet
of comprehensive meeting and special event space. Recreationally,
Naples Bay will feature a 97-slip marina, comprehensive fitness facilities
with a Pilates Studio, an international tennis center under the direction
of Cliff Drysdale, and a masterfully designed, foliage-laden resort pool
complex with a meandering lazy river pool, lap pool, children's pool, expansive
sundeck and poolside cabanas. Championship golf will be available
nearby at several well-known golf courses. Adding to the resort
experience will be a retail promenade, located adjacent to the marina.
Featured in this space will be boutique specialty retail, entertainment
and casual dining opportunities. The resort will offer The Yacht
Club and Captain's Lounge, as well as an amenity-rich residents' club,
The Club at Naples Bay Resort, with a specially-designed clubhouse and
up to 750 members. The two clubs will be private. Benchmark
Hospitality International will operate the resort.
