John Hamati Joins Carefree Hospitality as
Vice President of Hospitality and Development

Panama City Beach, Fla. - December 2007� Due to an internal
restructuring, effective Dec. 1, 2007 at Bay Point Marriott Golf Resort
and Spa, John Hamati has taken on a new role as Director of Community Relations,
representing Flautt Cornerstone.
In Hamati�s new role as Director of Community Relations, he will be representing Flautt Cornerstone in the Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce, Bay County Chamber of Commerce, Marketing Committee with the Tourist Development Council, Airport Stewardship Committee, Bay Point Association, and Baytown Association. In addition to his role with Flautt Cornerstone, Hamati will also be joining Carefree Hospitality as Vice President of Hospitality and Development. When asked his vision of incorporating Carefree Hospitality with the Emerald Coast, Hamati replied, �My vision is to bring the expertise of Carefree Hospitality to the Emerald Coast by implementing ideas and working closely with developers in the management, planning and development of luxury projects.� In Hamati�s position as Vice President of Operations for the Bay Point Golf Resort and SPA he was responsible for directing the operations and performance of the resort, which included a 320-room Marriott hotel, an 85-unit waterfront condominium development, a new upscale 11,000 square foot spa, and a country club facility with two golf courses including a Jack Nicklaus designed course. Hamati joined Bay Point Marriott in May 2005 with a considerable experience managing and overseeing several top resorts and hotels throughout the national and international hospitality community. Prior to his position as Vice President of Operations for Bay Point Marriott Golf Resort and Spa, Hamati served as General Manager and Director of Operations for The Woodlands Resort Conference Center and Country Club, just north of Houston, Texas. In his capacity as General Manager for The Woodlands Resort, Conference Center and Country Club in Texas, he was instrumental in repositioning the resort from an executive conference center to becoming a full service golf resort and spa. John orchestrated the management and execution of the Shell Houston Open for consecutive five years, as well as, the daily club and golf operations which consisted of six signature golf courses, four club houses facilities, two fitness centers, Spa and 24 indoor and outdoor tennis courts.
