has been named Director of Sales of Grand Velas All Suites & Spa Resort,
a AAA Five-Diamond all-inclusive luxury resort in Nuevo Vallarta. The announcement
was made by Oscar Cruces, Director General of Grand Velas.
"I am delighted and honored to be the new Director of Sales of Grand Velas. I have been with the resort since its conception in 2002, and joining the resort was the best decision of my life.� said Margarita Güitron, Director of Sales, Grand Velas. Güitron has been part of the Grand Velas sales team for 5 years. During the pre-opening of Grand Velas, Güitron started as a Sales Assistant and after one year, was promoted to Sales Executive where she coordinated publicity and promotional efforts. She also represented the property at trade shows and expos and handled product presentation to travel agencies, airlines and wholesalers. In 2004, Güitron was promoted to Groups & Conventions Manager, where she was in charge of sales, planning and operations of groups and incentives and weddings. Prior to joining Grand Velas, Güitron began her career in promotions at the Banderas Bay Hotel Association promoting Vallarta as a destination. Originally from Tomatlan, Jalisco, a small village south of Puerto Vallarta, Güitron graduated from the University of Guadalajara with a degree in Marketing and Tourism Administration.
