The Wirth Companies Transitions the 403-room Grand Lodge Hotel in
Bloomington, Minnesota to Radisson Hotel Bloomington By Mall of America®

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn., (Sept. 10, 2007)  -- Radisson Hotels & Resorts®, a world leader in the hotel industry, today announced the 403-room former Grand Lodge Hotel on East American Boulevard in Bloomington, Minn. has been renamed as the Radisson Hotel Bloomington By Mall of America®.  The hotel is owned by The Wirth Companies, based in Minneapolis.

"Bringing this property under the Radisson brand greatly enhances our presence in the Twin Cities and improves our ability to connect with guests that appreciate the advantages and genuine hospitality a Radisson hotel offers," said Nancy Johnson, the executive vice president of full-service hotels for Carlson Hotels Worldwide and brand leader for Radisson Hotels & Resorts.  "We are excited to reestablish Radisson's place in this key traffic corridor, offering a unique hotel experience for both business and leisure travelers."

As part of the conversion, the upscale two-year old hotel has added the custom designed Sleep Number bed by Select ComfortTM to one-fourth of its guest rooms.  Unlike traditional mattresses, the Sleep Number bed is a key brand differentiator that enables guest to individually adjust the firmness of their mattress at a touch of a button so they can have more control over their hotel stay.

"We are happy to join a major brand that prides itself on serving today's discriminating travelers who want to stay their own way and prefer the full range of services provided by Radisson Hotels & Resorts," said The Wirth Companies CEO Jeffrey Wirth. "We expect this relationship with Radisson to enhance the success this hotel has achieved during the past two years.  The Radisson brand will also help build further awareness of the hotel's exceptional accommodations, services and meeting facilities to a larger number of travelers and ensure this property will remain a preferred hotel in the destination for years to come, he added."

Adjacent to the Mall of America® and minutes from Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport, the 403-room, full-service hotel offers excellent amenities for both business and leisure travelers.  Hotel décor celebrates Minnesota through beautiful wooden accents, slate floors, authentic Minnesota timber and a Grand lobby fireplace. The guest rooms and suites are well-appointed, each with a refrigerator, microwave, safe (suitable for laptops), coffee maker and complimentary wireless Internet access. The Radisson Hotel Bloomington By Mall of America was designed to be a "family friendly" hotel with guest rooms that provide bunk beds nestled in alcoves, creating a lodge adventure for kids of all ages. The hotel also offers ample meeting facilities with more than 5,200 square feet of meeting space.

The Radisson Hotel Bloomington By Mall of America® is connected directly to the Water Park of America and provides guaranteed admission. Year-round aquatic entertainment is available to guests and always at a temperature of 87 degrees…regardless of the snow or rain. For the ultimate in relaxation, the hotel features the Trillium Spa, where guests can experience facial and body treatments performed by a staff of highly trained and certified professionals eager to deliver a memorable experience for both men and women.

The Radisson Hotel Bloomington By Mall of America® also offers Northern Lights Arcade, with more than 100 redemption and arcade games ready for family fun.

There are several dining options at the Radisson Hotel Bloomington By Mall of America® including the Split Rock Grille, offering Minnesotan inspired recipes, steaks, seafood, flatbread pizzas and signature cornbread; Camp Many Point casual dining, serving up an array of camp style menu choices including homemade pizza, sandwiches and kid friendly cuisine; and the Sleepy Eye Café, providing fresh made pastries, snacks, coffee, candy, sundries and ice cream.
