SAN JOSE, CA (September 11, 2007) The San Jose Convention & Visitors Bureau (SJCVB) recently welcomed hotel sales and event management professional Anita Pagin to its renowned sales team, announced Daniel Fenton, SJCVB president & CEO and chairman of Team San Jose.

Pagin, national sales manager, will focus on short-term business, selling the function space at San Jose's Convention Center and Cultural facilities.  She will assist with handling all markets and territories, specializing in local social events.  She will draw on extensive national sales and event planning experience she obtained while working with Wyndham Sunnyvale, as well as regional Hyatt and Marriott properties.

"Anita's experience with selling major hotel brands and managing all aspects of events will be a huge asset to Team San Jose," Fenton said.  "In order to offer our unique "one-stop shopping" service to meeting planners, we empower our sales and event staff to handle everything from customized menus and competitive room blocks to event permits and arranging state-of-the-art technology.  I'm confident that she will be a great addition to our team, ensuring that we continue to provide services no other CVB offers clients."

Pagin graduated with a bachelor's degree from the San Jose State University School of Business.  She lives in Sunnyvale with her husband, and is active in the community.
