The Dow Hotel Company Names Alex Petrollini General Manager
of Crowne Plaza Lake Oswego in Suburban Portland

SEATTLE, Wash. July 9, 2007 -- The Dow Hotel Company, LLC, (DHC) a hotel ownership investment and management company, today announced that Alex Petrollini has been named general manager of the companys 161-room Crowne Plaza Lake Oswego in suburban Portland, owned by a joint venture between New Jersey-based Prudential Real Estate Investors and DHC.

Alex has a range of experience in the hospitality industry, which will be a great asset to the Crowne Plaza, said Murray Dow, president of The Dow Hotel Company.  In addition to his experience as a general manager both in the United States and abroad, he also has extensive experience as an executive chef and director of food and beverage.  We expect this combination of skills will enhance an already successful property, and that his food and beverage experience will benefit Basils Kitchen, our signature restaurant, which is already one of the most successful restaurants in the city.  His in-depth knowledge of these key aspects of hotel management are definitely a unique advantage.

Previously, Petrollini was director of food and beverage at the Sheraton Phoenix Airport in Arizona. During the course of his 20-year career, he has served as executive chef at four different properties, including the Lake Louise Ski Resort in Alberta, Canada, in addition to six years as general manager at the Vlad Inn Hotel in Russia.  He is certified by Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts Institute in London.

Located at 14811 Kruse Oaks Drive, just minutes from downtown Portland and Portland State University, the six-story Crowne Plaza Lake Oswego is near Multnomah Falls, Mt. Hood and Columbia Gorge.  Hotel amenities include 3,000 square feet of meeting space, indoor & outdoor swimming pool and on-site fitness facilities.  Guest rooms are equipped with high speed Internet access and Crowne Plazas Sleep Advantage, which feature comfortable beds, guaranteed wake-up calls, quiet zone floors, sleep amenities and sleep CD and relaxation tips.

The Dow Hotel Company, headquartered in Seattle, is a hotel owner/investor and operator of first-class, full-service hotels with properties throughout the United States.  Dows most recent acquisition, the Deerfield Marriott Suites, recently completed a $5.5 million renovation of the hotels meeting space, lobby and  248 guests rooms and suites.  The company's portfolio of owned and managed properties consists of institutional grade hotels, under such brands as Marriott, Hilton, Embassy Suites, Sheraton, and Crowne Plaza.  The company aggressively seeks to acquire, co-invest with joint venture partners and/or manage mid- to large-size, institutional-grade, full-service hotels, especially those that have extensive food and beverage capabilities.
