Questioning Current Hiring Processes

-PeopleFilters Hospitality Industry Hiring Event Leads Attendees to Consider Examining Recruiting Processes and Technology-

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (July 11, 2007) - -PeopleFilter® Technology, developers of the PeopleFilter applicant tracking system (ATS), today revealed compelling trends identified during its recent Webcast on reducing hiring risk while winning the race for talent in the hospitality industry.

Held on June 21, 2007, Webcast presenters included PeopleFilter President and Chief Operating Officer, Kevin Harrison and David Morrison, a leading employment law litigator from Goldberg Kohn.  During the event, participants were asked to respond to several polls.  At the onset of the session, only thirty-three percent of the attendees felt their organizations current selection processes might be at risk due to unclear, undocumented or inconsistent hiring processes.  A similar poll was taken post-session where an overwhelming majority, upwards of eighty percent of all attendees, agreed that based on the information shared today, they felt the need to review or enhance their organizations current selection processes and/or technology.

Rich Post, PeopleFilters Hospitality Practice Leader, observed, Todays hiring environment especially in the hospitality industry is fraught with pitfalls. Technology helps these decentralized recruiting environments recruit in a more standardized, consistent manner.  Plus, the reporting capabilities inherent in hiring technologies can mitigate risk and give busy properties readily available audit preparedness, further discouraging rogue, disparate hiring practices.

Post continued, We werent surprised by the survey results from our webcast.  Properties need to build candidate pipelines to help them improve time-to-hire and technology facilitates the ability to get to the best candidates, quickly.  Filled positions and well-matched employees-to-jobs translates into better guest experiences and that is critical in the hospitality industry.
