Johnny Caruso Named Director of Rooms for The Heldrich, 
New Brunswick, New Jersey
The Woodlands (Houston), Texas, July 2007 - Benchmark Hospitality International has announced the promotion of Johnny Caruso as director of rooms for The Heldrich, the recently opened property in downtown, New Brunswick, New Jersey.  Michael Taylor, Benchmark's general manager for The Heldrich, made the announcement.
 
"I am pleased to announce Johnny's promotion to director of rooms," said Mr. Taylor.  "He joined Benchmark in the pre-opening phase of The Heldrich and played a significant role in the property's successful grand opening, working tirelessly to prepare the hotel for welcoming its first guests."
 
Mr. Caruso previously held the position of front office manager for The Heldrich.  He came to the new property after serving as director of front office operations at the Hilton in Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey.
 
For a period in his career, Caruso left the hospitality industry and worked as a senior project supervisor for Advanced Health Media of Union, New Jersey.  In this role he served as a corporate meeting planner overseeing numerous high profile events.  
 
Johnny Caruso was previously assistant director of front office operations for the East Brunswick Hilton, located in East Brunswick, New Jersey.  He began his career with Meristar Hotels and Resorts, employed at two New Jersey properties, including the Somerset Marriott Hotel and Westin Morristown Hotel. 
 
Mr. Caruso graduated from Riders University of Lawrenceville, New Jersey, with a degree in finance.  He is the recipient of numerous honors, including receiving the Tiefel Award (five times) Marriott's highest guest service award.  He is a two-time Leader of the Quarter Award recipient and has received the Legendary Customer Service Award.  Mr. Caruso resides in Bound Brook, New Jersey.
