With chauffeur-driven limousine service, a private driveway and an exclusive lounge dedicated to check-in procedures, guests of the new Valley Wing enjoy an unparalleled level of service, including 24-hour butler and concierge services.  Complimentary breakfast, snacks and beverages, including free flow of champagne, wines and canapés, are available all day in the grand Valley Wing Lounge, the largest executive lounge among Shangri-la Hotels and Resorts worldwide.  Guests also have complimentary access to meeting rooms and computers with broadband and wireless Internet connections.

Located in a 17-story modern glass tower, the additional 142 guestrooms increase the hotel’s total room count to 670.  Tastefully designed with elegant Chinese touches, each room benefits from a spacious lounge area, a walk-in wardrobe, a luxurious bathroom and state-of-the-art technology.  With a minimum size of 50 square meters (538 square feet), they are some of the largest guestrooms in the city.  The Valley Wing also offers a selection of suites, including 20 Diplomat Suites, one specialty suite and a majestic 245-square-meter (2,637-square-foot) Presidential Suite with personal butler service.

Meanwhile, Shangri-La’s exclusive spa, CHI, brings some of the largest and most luxurious private treatment suites to the city, offering guests their very own “spa within a spa”.  Each CHI suite features a changing area and rain shower, in addition to heat treatments, bathing and relaxation spaces.  Inspired by traditional Asian healing philosophies, CHI offers treatments and therapies that combine the healing rituals and traditions of China and the Himalayas.

Dominating the second floor, the 1,350-square-meter (14,533-square-foot) Grand Ballroom features an eight-meter-high (26-foot-high) ceiling set with dramatic crystal chandeliers.  Seating up to 1,400 people, the Grand Ballroom caters to events ranging from grand banquets and receptions to formal conferences.  With direct access via a large lift, it even has the capacity to be transformed into a beautiful car showroom for model launches.  For more intimate occasions, a selection of 13 elegant function rooms is available, each with state-of-the-art audio-visual technology, and serviced by an attentive and professional team.

Health, relaxation, and well-being are the core principles at Shangri-La Hotel, Beijing’s brand new health club.  State-of-the-art equipment caters to a total body workout and conditioning. Guests can also take a refreshing dip in the 25-meter heated indoor swimming pool, relax in the whirlpool, sauna and steam room, or enjoy the convenience of a private outdoor running track.  With panoramic city views, the rooftop garden provides a peaceful setting for quiet relaxation among beautiful scenery.

“The Valley Wing’s luxurious and sophisticated design, along with the most up-to-date facilities and amenities, undoubtedly position us amongst Beijing’s finest hotels,” said General Manager, George Wee.  “We already enjoy a reputation for warm, Asian-style hospitality; the Valley Wing is the highest expression of this type of personalized service, delivered with taste, sophistication and discretion.”
