Sunstone Hotel Investors Completes $27 million Renovation
of the 778 room Renaissance Orlando Resort at SeaWorld

ORLANDO, Fla.- August 6, 2007 - As the peak travel season returns to Orlando, leisure and meeting guests are discovering the newly renovated 778 room Renaissance Orlando Resort at SeaWorld, which just completed a $27 million makeover.

Located across from SeaWorld, the resort is minutes from Orlandos most popular attractions, including Discovery Cove and the soon-to-open Aquatica, Magic Kingdom, Orlando International Airport and one mile from the Orange County Convention Center. Well designed for leisure and business travelers, the resorts amenities include five distinct dining options, an Olympic-sized resort pool, three lighted tennis courts, a state-of-the-art fitness center, a full-service spa that will open in the fourth quarter, and 185,000 square feet of meeting space.

Upon arrival, guests enter a lush, native tropical landscape under a canopy of mosaic prints, creating an inviting sense of arrival that continues throughout the resort. Known for its unique savvy service, the resorts staff welcomes guests with a champagne toast intended to relieve travel stress and set the tone for a joyful escape from the ordinary.

This is more than a renovation. We are re-inventing the entire experience, said Jim Quinn, general manager. As an official resort of SeaWorld, we have embraced the destination by creating an oceanic experience throughout the resort.

At the center of the resorts 10-story sun-bathed atrium is a high definition video wall that provides a portal into the majesty and beauty of sea life. The visual experience is heightened by the fresh and flavorful offerings of the accompanying sushi and spirits bar, where guests can lounge while colorful reef fish, manatees and playful dolphins swim in front of their eyes.

Guest reactions so far are amazing. We have created an experience that is truly an evolution of the typical resort stay, Quinn said.

The $27 million renovation was funded by the resorts owner, Sunstone Hotel Investors, Inc. (NYSE: SHO), a lodging real estate investment trust (REIT). The company owns interests in 47 hotels with an aggregate of over 16,000 rooms primarily in the luxury and upper-upscale segments operated under nationally recognized brands.

MARRIOTT INTERNATIONAL, INC. (NYSE:MAR) is a leading lodging company with nearly 2,900 lodging properties in the United States and 68 other countries and territories.
