 CHICAGO,
IL � August 7, 2007 � Michael P. Zels, general manager for the new Hotel
Cass Mag Mile Chicago, 640 N. Wabash Avenue, has appointed Beth Truax to
the position of director of sales and marketing for the 175-room boutique
property. Owned by HCP Oxford OBG Cass Property Company, LLC, the
hotel is scheduled to open in August after an extensive, $16 million dollar
redevelopment.
Before joining Hotel Cass, Truax served as the manager of marketing and specialized services for Hilton HHonors Worldwide in its Chicago office. Prior to that role, she was manager of business travel sales for Hiltons of Chicago, representing The Palmer House Hilton, Hilton Chicago, and the Hilton Chicago O�Hare Airport. Her career also includes serving as senior manager of business travel for Doubletree Guest Suites in Chicago, as corporate sales manager for The Ambassador West, and a sales manager for the Wyndham Garden Hotel in Schaumburg. She is an active member affiliated with hospitality and business organizations including the Greater North Michigan Avenue Association, Meeting Planners International, and the Midwest Business Travel Association. Originally from Aurora, Illinois, she now resides in Chicago�s Lincoln Park neighborhood. She earned a bachelor�s degree from Illinois Wesleyan University in political science, and today, she is an active alumni fundraiser representing the Class of 1996. In her leisure time, she enjoys dining at Chicago�s diverse restaurants with friends. |
