ATLANTA
(May 10, 2007) - The Microtel Inn & Suites in Seneca Falls in New York's
Fingerlake Region has been named 'Hotel of the Year,' an honor presented
to the hotel that best represents the Microtel brand. The 69-room
hotel is owned and operated by Blue Star Development, LLC and Nicholas
Massa of Geneva, NY; its general manager is Anthony Sindoni, a longtime
resident of Geneva. Microtel is the economy/budget all-new construction
hotel chain with more than 300 hotels open and under construction around
the U.S. and internationally.
"Travelers to Seneca Falls - including the nearly 60 groups the hotel booked last year - have come to know that Microtel Inn & Suites is a brand they can count on," said Roy E. Flora, Chief Operating Officer for Atlanta-based U.S. Franchise Systems, Inc., parent company of the franchisor of the Microtel brand. "This hotel exceeds guests' expectations with outstanding quality and service." The Seneca Falls Microtel is a Quality Excellence Award winner - with a quality score of 98% - and maintains extremely high occupancy year-round. During the winter, the staff serves hot soup to guests every 'Souper Tuesday' and hosts weekly cookouts during the summer. The hotel also provides flavored coffees and freshly baked cookies every evening. "We couldn't have achieved this without a great staff," said Sindoni. "It's a real team effort in every way." Along with running an outstanding hotel, Sindoni heads up the New York State Microtel Marketing Co-Op to support the continued growth and expansion of the brand. The Seneca Falls hotel was one of the first Microtels to install the
brand's new 'Dream Well' bedding. Crisp, comfortable and inviting,
all Microtel hotels will soon provide guests with the stylish bedding with
