Tim Rector Named Vice President of Sales and Marketing
of the
Sheraton Cable Beach Resort in The Bahamas

Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE:HOT) has named 29-year hotel industry veteran Tim
Rector vice president of sales and marketing of the all-new Sheraton Cable
Beach Resort in The Bahamas, which is set to open its doors on June 12,
2007.
The Sheraton Cable Beach Resort is owned by Baha Mar Resorts Ltd. and
operated by its subsidiary Cable Beach Resorts & Crystal Palace Casino.
The Sheraton will offer a unique and expansive set of guest offerings and
amenities shared with those of the neighboring Wyndham Nassau Resort, also
operated by Cable Beach Resorts.
In his new position, Rector is responsible for the resort�s overall
sales and marketing efforts, including advertising, promotion and public
relations, as well as the recruitment, development and management of the
sales, catering and convention services teams. He will also work
with Cable Beach Resorts on cross-marketing and promotional customer development
endeavors.

Rector rejoins Starwood and Sheraton, where he held several executive
sales and marketing positions from 1981-2000. As director of sales
in Starwood�s Global Sales Office in Chicago, he managed the sales team
in the Midwest region, represented the company at a variety of industry
conventions and conferences, and organized several major annual customer
events. He served as the director of sales and marketing for the
1,200-room Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers, a position that also included
catering duties. Rector was also the director of sales of the Walt
Disney World Dolphin Hotel in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., where he coordinated
all sales efforts in the pre- and post-opening of the 1,500-room property.
As director of sales and promotions of the Sheraton Music City Hotel in
Nashville, Tenn., he oversaw all management responsibilities, including
sales, catering and convention services. He also served as the sales/catering
manager of the Sheraton Washington Hotel in Washington, D.C.
Most recently, Rector served as regional director of sales and marketing
for LXR Luxury Resorts and managed the sales and catering sales teams for
the company�s Caribbean and South Florida resorts. Prior to that,
he was regional director of sales and marketing for Wyndham Hotels and
Resorts, where he was responsible for the sales, catering, public relations
and marketing efforts for eight Caribbean properties.
Rector began his career in the hotel industry at Stouffers Hotels where
he served as director of catering of Stouffers National Center Hotel in
Arlington, Va., and restaurant manager of Stouffers Hotel in Oak Brook,
Ill.
