Four Hospitality Luminaries Join Lorica Solutions Advisory Board
.
Experts to Advise on Growth of Industrys
Only Fully Managed Converged Network
June 11, 2007 - Mark Holzberg, Chairman and CEO of Lorica Solutions, announced today that four of the hotel industrys most distinguished technology leaders -- Robert Bennett, Jules Sieburgh, Bryan Steele, and Jeremy Rock -- have joined Loricas Board of Advisors. Amherst, New York-based Lorica Solutions is the developer of the Lorica Room Center (LRC), the only fully managed converged network specifically designed for the hospitality industry. Two+ years in the making, the LRC acts as a communications hub and monitoring node for all in-room devices, enabling new technologies like HDTV, while providing monitoring and support from Loricas 24x7 Network Operations Center and Help Desk.

Lorica is now deploying its solution at hotels ranging from five star resorts to select service airport properties. The Advisory Board will help guide the companys continued growth and development.

Bob Bennett is currently an independent consultant and has more than thirty years of experience in the hospitality technology.  Bob was most recently CIO of Ginn Clubs and Resorts.  Previously he was senior vice president of product management for Pegasus Solutions and led the hospitality consulting practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers.  Bob has also held senior level positions in the technology area with MICROS-Fidelio; Marriott International and Hilton International.  Bob was inducted into the Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals International (HFTP) Hall of Fame in June 2000.  He is a founding member and past chairman of the America Hotel and Motel Association (AH&MA) Technology Committee and is a frequent speaker at a number of industry forums.

In discussing his decision to join Loricas Advisory Board, Bennett commented With the growing requirement for sophisticated technology in guest rooms I have become convinced that converged networks make the most sense for hotels both in terms of economics and manageability. Through our mutual work on the HTNG in-room technology workgroup, I have been impressed with Loricas technical and practical approach to the technology and customer support required to serve the hospitality marketplace. I look forward to assisting them with product and service refinements to help make their offerings even more attractive to the industry.

Jules Sieburgh is a Certified Hospitality Technology Professional and is also an inductee in the HFTP Hall of Fame.  His background includes top technology positions with Kerzner International Bahamas, Host Marriott Corporation, priceline.com, and Inter-Continental Hotels & Resorts.  He is currently a consultant with ONeal Consultants, providing technology guidance and coordination management to hotel owners, and also plays a leadership role in a number of hospitality technology organizations and forums.

Bryan Steele is the founder and Managing Director of Jireh-Tek, a UK based IT consulting firm whose clients include Hilton International, AT&T, MAF Hospitality and Visa Europe.  His previous experience includes senior roles at Thistle Hotels, CMGI, the incubator for a range of companies including Alta Vista, and Unilever. Steele is a former board member of Hotel Technology Next Generation (HTNG) and on leaving the Board was appointed as an Executive Advisor to HTNG in 2006.  He is an active speaker and participant at many industry events.

Jeremy Rock is founder and President of the RockIT Group, a consultancy specializing in the design, selection and implementation of systems and telecommunications in new and refurbished hotels and resorts. With more than eighteen years experience working with hotel management companies, Rock has held executive positions with Sunstone Hotels, The Edward Thomas Companies, and Northview Corporation.  A Certified Hospitality Technology Professional who has served on the technology advisory committees of Marriott International and Bass Hotels & Resorts (now InterContinental Hotel Group), Rock is a frequent guest speaker at industry forums and a regular contributor to industry publications.

Were delighted to welcome these industry luminaries to our Advisory Board, Holzberg commented. Their recognition of Loricas unique value and their willingness to help guide our work and spread the word is truly gratifying and I know their deep expertise in hotel technology will provide valuable insight as we introduce hotels worldwide to the unique benefits of the Lorica Room Center and our superior support and guest help desk capability.
